Little Things

A new friend, Ann, made at Book Club, arrives on the step with a twig of blossom. ‘I pinched it
from someone’s garden,’ she tells me. I put it in a slender vase. It looks very Japanese.

  1. My mum used to pinch cuttings from the gardens of stately homes. She had green fingers, and the cuttings always grew. You could try that with yours...?

  2. My grandmother rarely came home from a day out without a cutting or two. Hope yours thrives.
